Many times our customers have questions.  We have developed this page in an effort to answer these questions.

Q: How many passengers can your vehicles accommodate?
A: We have various sizes of vehicles in our fleet.  We operate a modern, clean, and well maintained fleet.   47 and 55 passenger motor coaches are our most popular sizes.  Our smallest vehicles transport 36 passengers.
Q: What is a charter and how much do they cost?
A: A charter is a temporary lease of our vehicle and driver. When a group wants to take a trip they will reserve a coach for the trip that they have planned. This is a charter. Chartering is generally a very economical mode of group travel.
Q: What are the rates to charter your vehicles?
A: Each booking or reservation made with Adventure Bus Charters varies to some degree.  We base all of our rates on an individual basis.  These rates are based on several aspects such as mileage, frequency of use, length of time, number of vehicles required, size of vehicle required, and so on.  Each rate is prepared thoroughly and our rates are very competitive. Remember this detail though - "Quality isn't expensive, it is priceless", we live by this motto in all of our business operations.  Our goal is to provide the highest quality experience for our clients.
Q: Is there any limit as to how far your vehicles travel?
A: We are licensed and insured to travel anywhere in the USA and Canada. Our charters can deliver your group to any destination.
Q: How long can a driver drive?
A: DOT Regulations allow a driver to be on duty for 15 hours per day.  Of the 15 hours “on duty” the driver may be behind the wheel driving 10 hours.  Every driver must record 8 hours of off duty to equal a 24 hour day cycle.
Q: What deposit amount is required to reserve one of your vehicles and when is the deposit due?
A: Our standard deposit amount is 10% of the total cost of the charter. This amount is due upon receipt of the signed charter contract, or 14 days after booking.  We can negotiate other terms under certain circumstances.
Q: When is the final payment due?
A: Our standard policy states that final payments are due 14 days prior to trip departure.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, checks, and cash.  We will also accept purchase orders from approved organizations.
Q: Are driver gratuities included in your rates?
A: Driver gratuities are not included in our rates, but our operators would appreciate the compliment. We suggest $1 per person per day for driver gratuity for excellent service. These gratuities can be paid directly to the driver.
Q: Are driver motel rooms included in your rates?
A: Driver's rooms (for "over the road" charters) are not included in the rates. Driver's rooms are the client's responsibility unless stated otherwise in the confirmation.  Drivers must have a private room with private restroom and bathing facilities.  Drivers may not stay in the room with a person from your group.  In the case of multiple drivers their must be separate rooms for each driver.
Q: How far in advance should we reserve our motor coach?
A: We suggest reserving your motor coach as far in advance as possible to make certain the equipment is available.  Do not hesitate to book a year in advance.  We can accommodate last minute bookings as well but availability of equipment may be affected.
Q: What type of insurance does your company carry?
A: By U.S. Federal Law each motor coach company must carry a minimum of $5 million dollars of Liability Insurance for each vehicle. We carry vehicle insurance, vehicle liability insurance and professional liability insurance. You can rest assured that you are well protected when you travel with Adventure Bus Charters. We can provide proof of our insurance upon request.
Q: Are your motor coaches kept clean and are they smoke free?

A: We do not allow smoking on any of our vehicles. All of our vehicles are cleaned each night after use and are ready to go the following morning bright and early. Each driver is responsible for his or her coach so they make a great effort to keep their vehicles in top shape for our clients.

Q: Do you supply the driver with the bus?
A: Yes, the drivers are employees of Adventure Bus Charter.   Adventure drivers work exclusively in private charter service. Our drivers are uniformed, well trained and courteous.  We take tremendous pride in our professional drivers. They are specifically trained to drive the vehicle you have chartered and must complete medical reviews, background checks, driving record checks, training, drug and alcohol testing, and safety meetings.
Q: What are the DOT Standards and how do you comply?
A: Under DOT regulations, carriers are required to ensure their drivers are fully qualified. All of our drivers hold a current Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement, undergo a complete physical, and hold a valid medical certificate. We do random drug testing of our drivers, which is in compliance with DOT regulations. There are limits on how long a driver may drive, basically no more than 10 hours following 8 consecutive hours off duty.   We take these limitations into consideration when helping you plan your long trips. Our operators are required to have 3 years minimum of driving experience.
Q: Where can I load my bus?
A: We can load your group anywhere that our vehicle can maneuver. Some residential streets are narrow, so please take that into consideration when planning your pick-up location. If you want to use a public parking lot, please contact the manager of the establishment and get permission before loading.
Q: How are the buses equipped? Is there a restroom aboard?
A: All Adventure buses are equipped with air conditioning, an on-board restroom, reclining seats with headrests, and tinted windows.
Q: Do the buses operate 24 hours a day?
A: Yes. Adventure buses travel around the clock, so you can travel by day and enjoy the scenery through wide panoramic windows. Or, select a night service, and relax in a reclining seat with reduced interior lighting.

Q: Do the buses make stops?
A: Yes.  When the group would like to stop, we stop.  We are here to serve you!

Q: Is there assigned seating on Adventure buses?
A: This is strictly the decision of your group leader.

Q: Is smoking allowed on board?
A: No. Federal law does not permit smoking on Adventure buses.

Q: Are meals provided on board?
A: No. Meals are not provided.

Q: Are food and drink allowed on board?
A: Yes. Food and drinks/beverages may be carried on board for personal consumption.  We do ask that you respect our buses and assist with cleaning. Alcoholic beverages are acceptable with advance notice (a damage deposit may be required).

Q: Are radios, laptops, cellular phones, or electronic games allowed on buses?
A: Radios, laptops and other electronic items may be carried on board, provided that they do not disturb fellow passengers and that headphones are used.
